Verena Schepperheyn S/S 19

“For Spring/Summer 19, Verena Schepperheyn is looking at the relationship of presumed opposites by drawing inspiration from land art as well as urban art. Combining both and looking for intersections instead of differences was the chosen approach for this collection. Observing their overlapping components, led to a playful connection of two different aesthetics. This season was influenced by the work of the artists Andy Goldsworthy and Christo & Jeanne Claude, who combine the beauty of nature with perspectives of urban life within their work. Their approach, including the usage of intense colour and hightech fabrics, inspired the creation of the SS19 textiles and hand-drawn print. The oversized silhouettes are referenced to the scale of the artists installations.”
